I had a question regarding Midnighter's response, or rather general lack thereof, to Jenny's recent post in which she and several other characters literally urinate on a country as a sign of their displeasure and rebellion (reference here (http://capeandcowl.dreamwidth.org/3876905.html).)
From what I have observed so far, Midnighter has yet to reprimand his daughter for potentially sparking an international incident and putting at risk the lives and liberties of all imPorts. Rather, in his brief appearance in the post, he comes across as hyper defensive of Jenny and company's actions. Their behavior was dangerous, and I would have expected to see him show some outward signs of disapproval and disappointment in his daughter's actions instead of appearing passive and wholeheartedly approving. At the end of the day, Jenny is his child and his responsibility, and in spite of his personal feelings, I would have expected him to behave in a more protective, paternal manner instead of not even reacting to her attention grabbing stunt at all.
I'm not sure what sort of suggestions to make about this, I simply wanted to express my surprise at his reaction to the incident. It is possible I missed some interaction between him and Jenny, or perhaps you are planning to address the incident later. Regardless, I felt this merited being brought to your attention.
Hi! As an aside, the reason Midnighter has no part in this post is because I play Striker as well, I didn't want to comment to (what is essentially) my own post with another character; I thought it might be weird. Also, I already have like a crazy amount of tags to do on it. :c I only tagged Quicksilver because Midnighter was directly called out by name in the thread, and Maddie pointed me towards it.
In canon, Midnighter is highly disdainful of governments in general; he never works with them and generally tends to go against them. In canon, the Authority overthrew the American government and took over the country for a time, and they had a tendency to go out and crush 3rd world dictatorships without approval from the UN or anyone else, they're not a typical heroic team and Midnighter isn't one to advocate working with people he doesn't agree with from anyone, especially not his daughter. He's not reprimanding her because he doesn't feel like she did anything wrong, and since she never even entered the country in question he feels like she didn't do anything dangerous either. Additionally, he wasn't so much defensive of their actions as he didn't feel the need to explain himself to Quicksilver, someone he has never spoken to before and who has never spoken to Jenny. He's also not, I guess, typically paternal with her in metahuman matters; in canon, despite being technically 9 at the time, she is the team leader and is generally the deciding voice in the actions they take as a team (because comics are ridiculous).

Thank you for reading and considering this.

I hope this helps explain some stuff!
